News: "Cambria" Back in the water after successful restoration
You all remember the beautiful sailing ship "Cambria", which we took out of the water at Robbe & Berking yachts in Flensburg last fall.
Today was the day when the enormous restoration work was completed and the "Cambria" was once again at sea.
The 120-ton, 50 meter long and 6 meter wide, beautiful sailing ship had to be backed out of the hall in a custom-made transport frame so that we could lift it back into its proper element over the quayside with our 650 Tonner.
It was a day with tongue in cheek! And we succeeded with flying colors! Sorry - but these are the days you sing in the shower when you get home! Loudly - and some of us even nicely!
A huge thank you - and great praise to everyone who pulled together today!
The entire SKAKS team
Our good partners from Torben Rafn A/S, who provided SPMT equipment.
Unser sehr gute Freunde bei Robbe & Berking Classics Yard - sehr tolle Leistung und traumhaftes Renovierungs Arbeit!
Tomorrow, the "Cambria" will have its 50 meter high mast mounted - and in a short time we can enjoy the sight of the beautiful, newly restored sailing ship gliding majestically out into its true element, the 5 seas!
Thank you for a very exciting day everyone!
